  • Lean ground beef
  • Chopped white or red onion
  • Chili powder
  • Ground cumin
  • Tomato paste
  • Garlic powder

  • Red kidney beans
  • Tomato sauce

First, brown the onions in olive oil until they are translucent. Then add and brown the ground beef.

Season with the spices and then stir in the tomato sauce and paste as well as the kidney beans with their juices. Bring the chili to a boil, stirring often, and then reduce to a medium heat. Cook for 25 to 30 minutes until the chili thickens.

You can also make a savory, rich white chili at home. White chili is made with chicken and heavy whipping cream. It also calls for:
