There are few experiences more satisfying than a sharing a delicious chicken Parmesan dinner with your family or friends and sharing a bottle of Italian vino with great conversation and laughter. This is a warm and satisfying meal that packs plenty of protein in each bite. It’s much simpler to make than people think. You can whip this meal up in a short amount of time.

Warm up a large skillet on medium heat with a drizzle of olive oil. You can then begin to prepare the other ingredients.

Step 1

Boneless, skinless chicken breasts You can begin the process of breading the chicken, or you can use a meat mallet to tenderize and thin the chicken out a bit before you begin. Once the chicken is prepped, dredge it in the flour mixture, followed by the egg and finish with the breadcrumbs. Place in the pan to brown on each side when the oil is hot. You can cook it all the way through if you’re working with thinner pieces of chicken. Thick pieces can be transferred to an oven safe baking dish. Bake the chicken the rest of the way at 375 degrees Fahrenheit with the sauce covering the chicken.

Step 2

Eggs Crack two eggs in a bowl and gently whisk together. Thin it out with approximately 2 tbsp water. Coat the chicken with the egg after the flour and before the breadcrumbs.

Step 3

Breadcrumbs Coat the chicken in the breadcrumbs after it’s been through the flour and egg. You can choose plain breadcrumbs or seasoned, based off your preference.

Step 4

Flour Dredge the chicken in the flour before it is placed in the egg mixture.

Step 5

Dried basil Sprinkle each of the breaded chicken breasts with basil while cooking.

Step 6

Salt and pepper Season each chicken breast with salt and pepper as it’s cooking.

Step 7

Sauce The sauce will be poured over the chicken in the last 5 minutes of cooking.

Step 8

Cheese Top the chicken with the cheese during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
