A true Buffalo wing is fried and then slathered in your sauce of choice, but this tends to be an unhealthy way of eating your wings. If you’re looking for something healthier for a weeknight dinner or as something to snack on while you’re watching the football game, these baked chicken wings suffice. They’re really simple to prepare, and you can come up with all kinds of sauces to try out when you make them.
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Place the baking sheet with the chicken on it in the oven for approximately one hour. Remove when the chicken looks cooked through and it has a bit of a crispy texture to it.
Olive oil: In a large mixing bowl, measure the olive oil and add it in. Make sure the bowl is big enough to toss your wings in.
Garlic powder: Add the garlic powder to the olive oil in the bowl.
Chili powder: Add the chili powder to the olive oil mixture.
Paprika: Add the paprika to the bowl.
Salt and pepper: Add in as much salt and pepper as you would like.
Chicken: The chicken is going to be added to the marinade that you just made in the mixing bowl. Make sure that every week has been thoroughly coated. Let the excess oil drip off each piece of chicken and place the chicken on a baking sheet.
You can prepare this chicken several ways. This is a basic method of cooking the chicken. If you pull the chicken out of the oven during the last ten minutes of cooking, you can add some sauce of choice and put the chicken back in for the final minutes. Try a spicy barbecue sauce, traditional Buffalo sauce, lemon pepper or a Cajun dry rub. Depending on what flavor you’ve chosen, you can also serve your wings with a dipping sauce. Buffalo wings require a big side of blue cheese.
